If you like sugar, spice and all things nice, head to Anges de Sucre, a new artisan patisserie in Kensington. The place is small and very sweet, and sells macarons, meringues, pastries, fresh coffee and hot chocolate to-go (in which marshmallow dunking is encouraged) and other good things. Colourful macarons come in blends like Amalfi Citron, Lavender Fields and Death By Chocolate, while homemade marshmallows come in flavours like Goan Colada, Lemon Squeezy, Banana-rama and Road to Ispahan. Vintage-style glass bottles of drinking chocolate and tins of tea add to the mix. Gift boxes are available. Though most merchandise doesn’t get as far as that; it’s usually eaten before it gets anywhere near a box.
