Trends: Colour Me Sky-High

Drive a ‘wedge‘ into the established ‘rules’ on colour-blocking, and add some height and bright hues into your spring wardrobe, with the latest rendition on this popular trend – Colour Block Wedges and Heels.

We have culled together different styles on the trend, courtesy of Urban Outfitters and Sarenza.

If you find playing around with primary colours a bit jarring, dim down the lights and opt for a See by Chloe Wedge. A hipster’s delight, the muted palette makes this wedge compatible with many current trends.

Alternatively, work with one shade and try on the Blue Cut Out Wedge from Urban Outfitters, where the play on lighter and darker shades of blue makes for a great take on the trend.

Amp up the volume with this Deena & Ozzy Platform Wedge. The colour, together with the cute peep toe and elasticated sling back strap, reeled us in!

Jeffrey Campbell’s Happy Cork colour-blocking number will definitely put a smile on anyone’s face this summer. Not only does it add a couple of inches in height, this shoe shows the versatility of the trend – colour can be limited to straps.
