Daily Outfit: Fresh Mesh
POSTED ON- 15 May, 2013 BY:StyleCard
Pioneers of the lace movement must be sad to admit that it is no longer a niche trend, (and probably never will be again). Now a fabric for the masses; lace dresses, tops and skirts can be found in every colour from sludge green to neon yellow, de-sensitising us to the once ‘special’ feel it created, (polyester lace is not the same as the handmade Chantilly French kind, it should be noted). We therefore think it’s high time to admit lace may well have died a death for those uninterested in wearing something highly likely to be spotted on one of the presenters of Loose Women. Just saying. So, and without further ado, we’d like to suggest a new Saturday night fabric: Mesh. Admittedly, not as ‘posh’ as lace – but definitely less itchy if you’re on a budget.
Quiz Clothing’s black mesh crop top has a sweetheart neckline and ¾ length sleeves. An ideal accompaniment to a pair of denim shorts for the weekend, it alludes to sexiness without actually baring any flesh at all, (unless you opt for hipsters, of course). Hasta la vista, lace.
