Daily Outfit: Scruffagette
POSTED ON- 14 May, 2013 BY:StyleCard
A trend sparked by celebrities appearing in everything from ripped jeans and courts to couture dresses with scuffed trainers, it appears the new way to wear your best frock is paired with seemingly inappropriate footwear, or vice versa. Allowing one to mix together items of their wardrobe usually strictly kept separate, the smart + scruffy scenario is easily done with minimal effort. In the same vein as unstructured suits and bed head hair and make-up, it simply takes the marriage of one item of ‘posh’ clothing with a casual/worn-in piece. For example, (tastefully), ripped jeans, with the addition of a blazer and shoes. Or maybe a real nice dress with artfully battered Converse. You obviously don’t want to look like you actually got dressed in the dark, so remember to limit the amount of holes you allow into your outfit. Anything that shrunk in the wash should be strictly vetoed.
