POSTED ON- 13 May, 2013 BY:StyleCard
Another seemingly feminine trend, pastels is set to be very important for SS13. This is a trend that translates not overtly, but instead combines pastels subtly on a classic canvas of a staple item. Ideal for Spring/Summer choose your pastels on loose fitting fabrics and cuts that are garments just at the tipping into smart casual arena, a structured but lightweight shirt is the ideal platform.
To enhance the smart casual look pair the pastel detailed shirt with light jeans the contrast of heavy and light fabric is finished with a pair of leather worker boots that give a polished finish. A structured outerwear piece gives the look almost a rustic feel to the look.
For a simple casual look select some basic chinos, again in lighter block colour, and pair with some basic but easy to wear pumps. For a casual look with a bit more detailing, choose some shorts in a soft light fabric that act as a perfect accompaniment to the pastel shirt, we have selected some long-line denim shorts in a near pastel shade. For footwear a classic pump shoe such as Converse All Stars would work well for a preppier look, finish the look with a pair of basic sunglasses and casual duffle bag.
