Daily Outfit: Summer Wedding
POSTED ON- 4 July, 2013 BY:StyleCard
As we steam-roll into Summer and the social calendar fills up fast, the season for ringing wedding bells also hits its stride. Sloshed Uncles and family feuds come as part of the package, but so too does the inevitable outfit crisis for guests. Want to look nice, but not showy? Wear Summer pastels but steer clear from white at all costs? Worry not. Our five-minute wedding wear tutorial will have you suited and booted in no time, giving you more to Morris dance with the in-laws.
A simple shift dress provides you with a classic shape on which to build with colour, print or embellishment; without running the risk of a wardrobe malfunction, (chiffon skirt on a breezy English day = sure-fire embarrassment). Minuet Petite’s beaded shift dress is an ideal day-to-night option if you’re hitting both service and reception, as it’s demure enough for the church but sparkly enough for Abba’s greatest hits later on. Strappy wedge sandals keep comfort levels high and Gorjana’s cross-body bag leaves you with free hands for the macarena. We do, we do, we do.
