Get the Look: Zosia Mamet
POSTED ON- 3 July, 2013 BY:StyleCard
Zosia Mamet’s bold cobalt combination shows she’s anything but a wallflower when it comes to fashion, in contrast to her Girls character. The buttoned-up shirt and Hoxtonite bun were balanced out by her wide-leg trousers, which were elegantly high-waisted. The pleats, ironed to perfection, had a leg-lengthening effect on the actress, and also helped to break up the vast expanse of blue. Colour lovers will appreciate how Zosia achieved a bold, memorable outfit without having to resort to the use of avant-garde tailoring or wild prints, (or any prints at all, for that matter). The lack of accessorising in Zosia’s outfit, (save for a couple of choice rings), further highlights the minimalistic nature and clean lines of the shirt and trousers. Add to that the definite lack of seasonal trend-led pieces and you’ve got a timeless winner on your hands.
Pair Jeetly’s bold Carmen blouse with James Lakeland’s cotton trousers for an easy summer take on Zosia’s red carpet look. Robert Clergerie’s two-tone brogues, available at Rubber Sole, add a quirky vintage-inspired edge, as well as neutral tones to the bold blue hues.
