Opening on May 15 in Covent Garden is Sesame, a new all-day restaurant from Israel-born, London-based Noam Bar, co-founder of the ever-popular Ottolenghi. Taking inspiration from the market stalls and smoked grill street food of the Middle East, Sesame offers ‘fast food’ like kebabs, skewers and colourful pitta breads stuffed with goodness. Choose from dishes like spicy paprika chicken with garlic and cardamom; lamb and beef kebab with sweet spices; roast aubergine and egg sandwich with mango pickle; followed by fresh, homemade halva, brownies, cookies or Greek yoghurt with roasted seeds and date molasses. Open Sesame. And don’t ever close.
